We are excited to share that Matt Kettmann of Wine Enthusiast has reviewed our 2025 Lucy wines, naming the Gamay Noir an Editor’s Choice at 95 points.
“There is so much to love about Gamay Noirs from this region,” he writes. We think a lot of that comes from the soil. Our Gamay grows in decomposed granite (also a common soil of Beaujolais, the grape’s home region), and a portion of each harvest ferments in a vintage California redwood tank that has been in the Pisoni family for nearly a century.
Matt also has kind words for the rest of the trio, calling our 2025 Lucy Pico Blanco a “Hidden Gem” and giving a nod to the 2025 Rosé of Pinot Noir.

2025 Lucy Gamay Noir
95 Points. There is so much to love about Gamay Noirs from this region, and so much potential to make them a bigger player on the scene. Brillantly fresh and vibrant aromas of boysenberry, white pepper, wood ash, and freshly dug hole lead from the nose into a dark yet vibrant palate of juicy plum, pepper, and violet.
2025 Lucy Pico Blanco
92 Points. The Pisoni Family smartly reminds that white grapes other than Chardonnay do excel in this county, as this blend of 65% Pinot Gris and 35% Pinot Blanc clearly reveals. Aromas of pomelo peel and citrusy pith lead from the nose into a brighter palate of sharp lemon peel and tart apple avors. Hidden Gem.
2025 Lucy Rosé of Pinot Noir
91 Points.A slightly orange shade of pink in the glass, this wine offers tangerine, light red fruit, and a pinch of herb aromas on the nose. The palate is a bit more bold yet still bright, delivering orange and cherry fruit flavors with ample weight.
